As in previous works, Watton seems to serve the purpose of communicating information in public space. Initally from a series of works about prevented friendships, the poster is about the fictive collaboration between filmmaker and painter Jürgen Böttcher and the writer Ronald M. Schernikau. Böttcher is one of the most important painters and documentary filmmakers of the GDR, while Schernikau is one of the last migrants from FRG to GDR at the end of the years 1980; his work represents young homosexual literature of the GDR.
