On the occasion of Assembly, Thomas Bayrle was invited to create an installation at a local laundromat, where the artist’s fascination with serial patterns and mechanics integrates seamlessly with the row and repetitive movement of the washing machines. Originally published in the artist book Feuer im Weizen(Fire in the Wheat) (1970), Bayrle’s Jacke wie Hose depicts clothes tossed into the air alongside a male and female figures.
